Waldo W. Kroeber papers, 1940-1946.

Includes materials from Boys State, letters of instruction and information for going to Boys State, a letter of congratulations from Senator Langer on being picked to attend Boys State, a brochure on how to display the US flag, a copy of the "Honorable Discharge", five copies of the publication Nokobota, an bill, and a copy of North Dakota Government in Brief. Familiar names listed in the Nokobota include Mark Andrews, Roy Towne, Eddie Conlin, and Spencer Boise. Second acquisition includes letters of correspondence, a history and photo of the 19th troop carrier system, navigator materials, certificates and diplomas, and military maps. The material arrived in two accessions. The first was donated by Mr. Kroeber to the manuscript collection and it contained the information about Boys State. The second transfer is a separation from Mss 10873 and it contains the material used by Mr. Kroeber when he served as a navigator in the military.
